Professor of Human Resource, Innovation and Transformation Management at the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences

Prof. Dr. Thomas Bartscher can draw on many years of experience in various functional areas of human resource management. During his time as professor and vice-president at the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences from 1998-2020, he was instrumental in promoting virtual forms of teaching and learning in undergraduate teaching as well as in continuing education.

09/2020 – 08/2022 at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, he deepened the teaching and research areas of digitalisation and diversity, people analytics and corporate learning, among others.

Since 09/2022 he has been teaching and researching again as a professor for human resources, innovation and transformation management at the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences.

As a trainer and consultant, he works for industrial and service companies, non-profit and public enterprises on issues of digital transformation, among others. He publishes specialist and textbooks and is in demand as a speaker on current developments in organisations.

He is also the scientific director at I:AD (Institute for Work and Digitalisation).
