Professor for teaching and learning research with new media at the University of Salzburg

Prof. Dr. Jörg Zumbach teaches teaching and learning research with new media at the University of Salzburg. His research group on media-based learning processes is located at the School of Education of the Paris Lodron University Salzburg.

He studied educational psychology (diploma and doctorate at the Institute of Psychology, University of Heidelberg).

His research and teaching focus is at the interface of empirical research methods, psychological theories, science education and teacher education. In addition, Prof. Dr. Zumbach’s research interests include learning with hypermedia, multimedia learning, hyperaudio, science education, problem-based learning, instructional design, higher education, media and aggression.
